Please join us in welcoming back Alison to our Sungod Physio team! She will be in the clinic seeing patients beginning December 1st. Welcome Back Alison!
Alison grew up in Ladner and has always been highly involved in the Delta athletic community, competing on local fastpitch, soccer, and volleyball teams. She is a DSS grad, and went on to complete her Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology at Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina. There, she competed as an NCAA division one athlete, playing on the fastpitch team for four years while completing her degree. She completed her Masters of Physiotherapy at the University of British Columbia. In addition, Alison completed her acupuncture certification in 2014 under the Acupuncture Foundation of Canada Institute (AFCI). She has experience with a vast variety of patient populations including athletes, pediatrics, MVA patients, and the elderly. Her passion is sports injury rehabilitation and helping athletes return to sport with the knowledge and tools to prevent re-injury and keep them functioning at the highest level possible. Alison’s experience as a high-level athlete gives her a unique perspective and understanding when working with injured athletes. Alison continues to be involved in the fastpitch community through coaching and running skills camps for young athletes in the summer months.
