Construction Update | April 2021

The main kitchen at 1501 Cedar Springs Place is almost complete, with light grain cabinets, and the accent face inserted. White oak floors pending to be installed to match the light cabinets. The kitchen island will be finished off with a beautiful waterfall countertop. The same countertop material be the backsplash of the main kitchen.

All Houses are sold, 1501 Cedar Springs Place, is the only remaining House left. The north side homes will be turned over by the end of the month. The last two houses in the cul-de-sac is where the construction team will be at for the next couple months.

Construction Update

The interior of 1501 Cedar Springs place is taking shape with mouldings installed and the cabinets set in place. As soon as cabinets are installed, countertops and flooring is to follow. On the exterior, siding work is prepped and will be installed very soon. Plants will not be in until the warmer months.

Our construction team is focusing on finishing the last four north side homes. This coming month will have a lot of activity happening at the end of the construction road at Springs Boulevard and Cedar Springs Drive.

We have saved the best for last! Check out this amazing House that is almost finished. Construction is set to complete in a few weeks and we are very excited to see the finished product. See below for the renderings of the House.

Winter Golf Update

We are asked the question all the time, how come we tee off hole #11 in the winter.  The answer is simple, 5 of the holes featured on our front 10 find themselves located very near to the bluff, meaning it takes the sun a long time to reach some areas on those holes, and in some winter months not at all.  This means on a frosty morning we would have to wait much longer to begin play if we started on #1, so we have decided to start daily of #11 November through to the end of February.  Instead of having to react daily as to which side of the course we will send our grounds crew to prep the course for the day depending on the weather, we are able get the course prepped and begin play as soon as mother nature allows by teeing off the back side, allowing the front to thaw.

Winter rates remain through to the end of February with the same booking policies still in place.

Tsawwassen Springs Fitness is a private training facility located within the sunny Tsawwassen Springs Golf Course, extensive precautions have been implemented to ensure member safety.

Our first step was to design and construct moveable partitions placed sporadically throughout the facility. This provided added protection and privacy to members. We have also applied ZeroBlast throughout the gym, an advanced disinfectant spray that can provide up to 90-day surface protection against bacteria and viruses such as COVID-19.

Upon entering the gym, members complete a personal waiver and temperature check. . Our clients are also asked to bring their own towels.

Disinfectant wipes are provided throughout the facility and all equipment is to be wiped down after use. Stations are set up so members and trainers are able to maintain two metre social distancing while working out. Trainers and clients are required to wear masks at all times.(except while using cardio equipment)

Throughout the facility we have a combination of floor decals and signage reminding all clients to maintain social distancing in addition to multiple cleaning stations.

As we move into 2021, there are both reasons for optimism and caution as we continue to navigate the situation brought on by Covid-19. Reflecting back on 2020, we were presented with challenges as an organization, as a community, and as individuals that we had never previously faced. And while it’s clear the pandemic still has a grasp on our community and country, we know that recovery is imminent but certain to be slow.

The anticipation for better times is contagious.  With determination, and the abundance of creativity that exists within our hospitality field, I know Tsawwassen Springs will find a wealth of opportunities for positive and lasting change.
