Golf Discussion

I would like to take this opportunity to quickly talk about a common discussion we have here at Tsawwassen Springs in the Pro Shop with guests that call us their “home course,” and it relates to divots and ball marks.

The average golfer leaves about 12 ball marks during a typical round of golf. With a daily average of 160 rounds here, our greens will suffer 1,920 ball marks each day and 58,400 ball marks per month–more than 700,000 ball marks each year! Further, consider that the average number of divots a typical golfer creates during a round of golf is 45. This equates to 7,200 divots a day or 2,628,000 divots each year!

We have become known as one of the best conditioned courses in the Lower Mainland, in order for us to remain amongst the best we need the help of you, the golfer.  If you do not have sand and seed mix to fill your divot (located on the power carts and adjacent to the first tee), please replace it, also we have added 3 locations where you can fill your sand and seed bottles if you are running low.  When I find myself on a green I typically go by the rule, make a pitch mark, fix 2.  Take a peek at the illustration below to see the proper way to fix a pitch mark and a common mistake.

Construction Update

We have began our concrete pours at our Phase 4 Condo, 4977 Springs Boulevard! We started with the raft slab two weeks ago, which is the ground level at the underground parkade. The work began at 7 am and went until 4 pm, where upon we completed 11,662 square feet on the west end of the building! Our second successful pour occurred yesterday for the walls of that first section in the underground. The upcoming pour will be for the second section of the raft slab, where we are planning on completing the next 15, 378 square feet of the underground. Please see below for photos!

Join us Sunday, June 18th for Father’s Day for some GOLF

If you ask dads what they would like best for Father’s Day, most would say they would love to spend some quality time with their kids.  Why not spend that time on the links at Tsawwassen Springs, bring your dad and we will take $20 off his green fee.  So how much will this cost?  On Sunday, June 18^th, if you bring your dad his green fee will be $46 between 7am and 2pm, $39 between 2pm and 4pm, and only $15 after 4pm!
