Phase 3 Condo Building– 5011 Springs Boulevard
The raft slab, the elevator shaft, and the lobby of the underground parkade in the Phase 3 Condo building are 100% complete. Please see below for progress photos.
Above is an image of a form recently oiled. Forms act like a mold, holding the concrete together until it hardens, and thus creating the shape of the vertical walls for the underground parkade. The oil prevents it from sticking to the concrete as we are forming them.
Closing off the form for the parkade walls.
Conduits in place for running hydro, telephone, and TV lines.
This machine is called the Rock Slinger, which forms the gravel to act as a mold for the concrete.
